Renae, US: Spinal Fusion Snake!

Hi! I'm Renae and I had spinal fusion this summer to correct my severe scoliosis. I just wanted to come on here and share my surgery story. After my surgery ended, the anesthesia wore off and I woke up to a nurse holding a stuffed animal. It was a stuffed animal snake, and the nurse said that they give it to all patients after their spinal fusion. She showed me how you can scrunch up the snake's tail so it looks like they have scoliosis, and you can also straighten their tail to represent a straight spine. I fell in love with that snake, and I've slept with it every night since my surgery. Thanks for reading!
